Artists Azade Baloochi and Peyman Gerami, founders of mirroRE, will present works from The Cut during ART[s] Gallery’s September exhibition at The Estate in Noordwijk.

The series develops from their understanding of the mirror as a material that carries memory, traces of human presence, and the passage of time—and of Iranian mirror craftsmanship as a bearer of historical wisdom.

In The Cut, the mirror moves beyond a surface for seeing the face and body and becomes an observer of human presence across time. Fragments of light, movement, memory, and environment are woven together, transforming reflection into an encounter with perception and presence.

The exhibition is installed within The Estate at Landgoed Sancta Maria, where ART[s] Gallery presents art in a real living environment rather than a conventional white-cube setting.

The moving image reveals what a still photograph cannot: reflection changing through light, movement, and viewpoint.
